Marine, Hanging the Bastard 2:02 pm I am responding to the Pete K. who posted, They Hung Him. This gentleman is a mirror to my husband who blurted out basically the same thing. I personally was made to feel somewhat sick as I envisioned the execution. I then became angry with my husband who seemed to be cheering loudly inside. I was also upset that the execution was carried out just hours before the Islamic religious holiday was to begin. I then became even more angry with my husband. But then he said something to me that hit me in a big way, he said," The longer they have to keep Saddam in custody, the more chance the terroists have to try and spring him. And if that happened, our troops would have to deal with one more combat situation. And God damn it, haven't they had enough?" I think my husband just may be absolutley right.
